Today is a lovely day in Chicago. Currently in the eighties, sunny, windy. I went out and had lunch next to the river, and then a little while ago my boss suggested we take a break and walk to McDonalds for ice cream. And yet I'm all emo.

For the record, she is made of awesome. No, really. I've met her, and there's just awesome oozing off this girl. She's funny as hell, a total sweetheart, a total geek (in the good way), a pop culture junkie who puts me to shame, and did I mention that she's got a hilariously evil side to her that makes me chortle with glee? Plus, she's been to the Saloon many times, a bar which I fondly refer to as "the birthplace of the uninvited penis." Any girl who's a fan of the guy in the shower show is good in my book. ;)

Anyway, happy birthday, Joy! I hope you've had a wonderful day so far, and that it continues to get better as the night wears on. May you have a wonderful year to come.
