We got it!!!
A call came through late yesterday afternoon (just as LJ shut down). We got the house. They've offered $203, and we'll take it. ROCK ON.
The only problem is that as of this moment, Burt (Buuuuuuurt!) hasn't delivered the disclosures on the house. He said he'd just "fill them in" himself, but Danielle refused. She says that until she gets those disclosures in hand, we're not signing anything or handing over any money. Which is smart, because who knows what he could fill in. She's been asking him for the disclosures for almost a week, and he still hasn't delivered. According to the Scientist, Danielle told Burt that if they're not in her hands this morning, people. will. hear. from. her. It's kind of nice to have a pit bull for an agent. Heh.
At this point, we're kind of wondering if Burt is playing us against other potential buyers. Like, he's holding out on the disclosures so that he can stall and maybe talk another potential buyer into paying more than $203, which is totally unethical. But then, so is selling a house without making the disclosures public.
But as long as we have those this morning, and as long as it's all in order, then we're getting the house. I'm really excited. I really didn't think this would happen. Eeeeeeee!
