Aw, crap

I think I'm allergic to wool. Or untreated wool. Something. All I know is that I used to have this beautiful caramel-colored lambswool sweater, and the last time I wore it I broke out in hives up and down my arms, and my eyes swelled shut. I've had good luck with wool blends, but today I'm wearing one of my favorite sweaters, a dark gray wool v-neck that I got years ago and just discovered in a storage container in my basement. Right now, my neck is itchy as hell and has a few welts on it, and my left eye is red, water, and itchy. The itch is spreading to my nose.

How the hell did I wind up allergic to wool??? I really hope I just need to have all my wool sweaters washed. Please let that be the case.

Aw, man. My arms are getting rash-y and my eye is swelling. This suuuuuucks.

i think it's a combination of things - mine was the state of my skin on any given day. i moisturized more since winter dries me out. i can only imagine how much colder and windier it is there this time of year.

longer sleeves also helped, and a higher neck - i love my v-necks, but i'll go crew when it comes to wool. keeps it off away from my bare skin.
