Brrrrr! It's cold in here!

There must be some Toros in the atmosphere! Except not. I got home from work today to find that our furnace is dead. It was around 55 degrees when I got home, and the temperature started falling from there. I called the Scientist, who was at work, and got the number for our furnace guys. Then I called my in-laws for help, who sent over their youngest son, S, and youngest daughter, S. So us girls stood around while S played with our furnace and finally got the pilot light going. Alas, no heat started. Right now I have it set at 80, but nothing's going on. So we lit the burners on the stove, put the oven on 500, and hung around the kitchen. After a few hours of this, we got the kitchen/dining room area of the house up to a balmy 72, but the living room is COLD AS HOTH. I have a feeling tonight I'll have several electric blankets on me.

But it could be worse. My sister (last I heard) is STILL stuck at TF Green airport in Providence. Supposedly at 11 there was going to be an update on her flight. I haven't heard back from her, so I'm assuming she doesn't need me to buy her a ticket for tomorrow morning's flight. That said, she may end up calling me when she gets in at 2 a.m. and have me pick her up from Midway. We'll see what happens.

Anyway, that's been my night. Oh, and add on to that shoveling around 5 inches of snow. Good times!
