Depp back for new 'Pirates' film coming in 2011

ANAHEIM, Calif. Avast! Disney says a new "Pirates of the Caribbean" film is on yonder horizon.

Johnny Depp sailed onstage Thursday on a pirate ship in Anaheim, Calif., to help announce the forthcoming installment of Disney's blockbuster film franchise.

Depp will reprise his role as Capt. Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," slated for summer of 2011. It's the fourth in a series.

I know a lot of people didn't like the second and/or third films in the franchise, but I'm totally on board for this movie. Seriously, if it were a whole movie of Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa just trading barbs and doing slapstick-y fighting, I'd watch it. And if there's no Orlando Bloom (as rumors have it), I'm even MORE excited. Cut out Keira Knightly and her underbite, and I will be the first person buying tickets.

Hah! I really liked the third movie, but didn't care for the second so much. But I'm the exact opposite on the Orlando Bloom issue. If there's no Orli I won't see it. Depp just gets on my nerves after awhile.
