Also, I am a bit of a hypocrite because I'm going to go see the new Wes Craven flick in 3D.

Well, I just saw Legend of the Guardians in 3D and thought it was quite nice. IMO, the only movies that benefit from 3D are animation (specifically stop-motion, as it adds so much depth and texture) and horror (so the movie can give you an added "eeek!" factor).
