I just read in EW that the 20th anniversary edition of The Nightmare Before Christmas has been released. TWENTY YEARS?!?!? It's been TWENTY YEARS? Hot damn, I suddenly feel really old.
It seems like just yesterday that I bought my 10th-anniversary special edition! Looks like I'll be spending more money, since I'm sure they've come up with some bell or whistle I need to have. *sigh*
I can't find ANY info on the extras/special features. The best I've got is this, which was pulled from a Canadian horror movie site:
"While special features are unknown, we’re told that the upcoming release will feature exclusive special features. So hopefully, if you have previously brought this on DVD or Blu-ray in the past, this one should have some new features."
Hrmmm. I have to admit I'm skeptical. The first big collector's edition they pushed at us had a bunch of special features, but really they were all taken from the 1994 laserdisc edition that came out years earlier. (Trust me, I own that. Yes, on laserdisc. Too bad they didn't have a Betamax version as well.) Anyway, unless they're brand new stuff, I'm going to be weary of buying this. They'd better offer me something good, and not just a lame toy bundled with the packaging. I want some new behind-the-scenes stuff, or new interviews.
