California, here I come!

I just opened yesterday's mail, and there's an invitation to my friend Natalie's wedding. I visited her and her fiancee Marc when I went out to Palm Springs the last time. I'd never met Marc before, but he's a great guy. I really had a great time with them in Pasadena, and now I'll be going out in July for their wedding. Yay! Now I have to just book airline tickets, rent a car, get a hotel... If I were smart I'd make it a long trip and swing down to Palm Springs to see my Uncles. Of course, the desert in the dead of summer probably isn't the best time to go, but I don't know if I'll be able to get out there again anytime soon. I'll have to call my uncles. But still! Natalie! Marc! California! Yay!

Dammit x 2

Dammit #1: So today I go and rewind the tape I recorded Battlestar Galactica on. Or so I thought. Somehow I managed to tape 2.5 hours of the morning news instead of the 2.5 hours of BSG that was on Friday night. I'm supposed to do the recap of "33" for MediasharX by tomorrow. Thankfully SciFi is rerunning the missing episodes later this evening, but I have plans for tonight and therefore can't get the recap done on time. Dammit. Seriously, why can't I program a VCR to save my life? I need DVR or TiVo or something.

Dammit #2: I left my phone in my coat pocket last night. When I checked it this afternoon, it wasn't working at all. The battery was so low it wouldn't even turn on. Now it's charging up in my room, and I got a message from my sister saying that my nephew is cutting his first teeth. !!! I wanted to call back, but there was barely enough power to check voicemail, let alone call. And now her hubby has called to say that my sister is mad I haven't called and I have to call back or else I'm in big trouble. Wooops.
