Dear Jessica Simpson,

Who told you that you have even a fraction of the talent and voice to pull off covering a Robbie Williams song? Fuck you, Jessica! Your version of "Angels" is TERRIBLE! Your voice is strained, you don't have any of the feeling you should have for the lyrics, and you suck. The only possible good thing that could come of this is that people might hear it, like it, realize it was performed by Robbie first, and look him up. If you make this song famous, I will hate you forever, because it's ROBBIE'S BIGGEST HIT EVAH. You are a big dumb ho for trying to cash in on his number-one-in-a-bajillion-countries-except-the-US single. You suck. I hope Nick is ashamed of you.

I know this feeling well; it's exactly the same way I felt when Alana Davis made Ani DiFranco's "32 Flavors" a minor chart-climber. Not that Alana Davis is at all near the depths of vapid that Simpson hits, but it's unfair to watch lesser artists get rich off of the work of their betters.

Heh, as if in an act of divine defiance as I was reading this the Robbie Williams version came up in the random playlist on my MP3 player. God her version sucks so hard by comparison. I keep wincing while waiting for her crazy strained notes only to be greeted by Robbie's dulcent tones. And sadly, Jessucka usually doesn't annoy me that much, but this time she went too far.
