If any of y'all are ever considering moving to the Chicagoland area, and you have a car, by all means, DO NOT MOVE TO OAK PARK. Even though I'm paying $75 a quarter, I can't even park on my street when it snows without receiving a $100 ticket. I'm sick of this shit. My car is costing me more now that I don't drive it. I just might leave it out at my parents' house during the winter, and take the train out on Friday nights after work to get it back for the weekends. This is ridiculous.

That's one of the reasons why my husband says we'll never move back to Oak Park. And from what I've seen of the winter driving/parking problems when we've been home for Christmas I tend to agree with him.
