How's the weather up there?

I just saw something on CNN about people being worth $800 per inch. (Don't go looking for the video, as it only focuses on men and doesn't touch on the concept of tall women at all. [livejournal.com profile] deeablo, we're mutants! They won't even acknowledge us!) I checked into it very quickly on Google and saw that shortsupport.org cites a study saying short people are, on average, paid $800 per inch less than taller coworkers per year. So if they're saying that people really ARE worth $800 per inch, my annual salary should be $57,400. Let me tell you, if I figure out my current salary off that $800 per inch scale, I'd be a midget! No, REALLY.

Perhaps I can use this study for some leverage when it comes to annual review time... ;)

Yes, I know that the study doesn't actually mean that you get $800 per inch, but instead that shorter people are shafted because of their stature, and overall EVERYONE may be getting screwed in the salary department. I just like thinking I'm worth a lot more than I'm currently paid.

See, I read that as square inch instead of height inch and just spend about three minutes trying to figure out how to get the square inch of me. Clearly I failed algebra. Also, I'm a dork. Done now. =)

*loves you very much*

Does this mean that my sister, who is five inches taller than than I, will make more than I will even though she didn't go to college?
