Batman in Chicago!

The Dark Knight has officially begun filming in Chicago. Right now they've transformed the old post office at Wacker & Van Buren into the Gotham National Bank. More info can be found here and here.

For anyone interested, the code name for this movie is "Rory's First Kiss." So if you see any signs around about parking restrictions for RFK, that's Batman.

I've been re-reading my Catwoman short-syory anthology from 1992 on the commute this week, and was actually mentally writing the sequel inside my head this morning on the train (Summer Glau as Talia al Ghul and Alexa Davalos as Selina Kyle). I still need to mentally cast Holly, and a slew of Falcone's men.

Someday I so totally need to write that.

It's so funny that you posted this, I was on the Chicago filming site just this morning checking out what was new in the area. I typed Rory's First Kiss into IMDB and it brought me right to The Dark Knight site - they are clearly not as cryptic as they thought.
