So let's see, what's going on that I can tell you all about? It's all rainy and crappy weather here in Chicagoland, and I am LOVING IT. No, really. I love rainy fall days. You just want to snuggle into your hoodie and curl up on the sofa. Bonus points if there's a sleeping baby in your lap to keep you doubly warm. Yay!
This weekend we have no plans whatsoever. It's kind of nice. I've already redone the bookshelf in V's room, putting all of the board books on shelves. V is really into books lately, and my sister sent a box of probably 60 books to our house. So the baby is over the moon right now looking at them. Good deal!
We have to go grocery shopping today. And the Scientist needs to go to Argonne to do a quick touch-up on one of his experiments. That's all we have going on. I would like to go to a craft store and get some fabric paint to work on our Halloween costumes. We're going to a party where this year's theme is "out of this world." We're doing the cheapest, easiest costumes we can think of, but it requires some t-shirts and fabric paint. So there's that.
What else is going on? I've been watching season 4 of Fringe, which is awesome. Hopefully we can catch up enough on DVD to be only a few weeks behind, then catch up on the current season on OnDemand, and then watch in real time. We've also been watching the second season of Sherlock, as it's finally available on Netflix streaming. However, it's not subtitled (even though it says it is), so that makes things a bit harder. Benedict Cumberbatch, God bless him, tends to mumble quickly, so add on his low voice and the accent and the Scientist has a hard time understanding him clearly. Subtitles would make it so much easier. Oh well. Also, I love Cumberbatch as Sherlock, but I just don't get the love for the actor in general. He's just not swoon-worthy IMO. But to each his own. I like Jason Statham, so there you are. And yes, I like him enough to have watched In the Name of the King, so my taste is suspect at best.
I don't know what else to write about. I've been keeping up on all your posts, even if I haven't been replying. I suck, I know. So there you are.

I haven't watched Sherlock s2, and I won't let myself until I catch up on school work. :/
Yay, cuddly babies!

i don't know what device you're using to watch netflix (blu-ray player, ps3, etc.), but i've watched sherlock s2 on netflix from my tivo premiere and my apple tv, and both have closed captioning that appears just fine for me. :/ (i use closed captioning to watch tv in the evening, so i don't need to have my tv on very loud.)
Also, I love Cumberbatch as Sherlock, but I just don't get the love for the actor in general. He's just not swoon-worthy IMO.
well, if jason statham is your bag, then benedict cumberbatch (aka my future husband) is sort of the opposite of him, so that is understandable--to each her own, etc.! for my part, the reason i find him so swoon-worthy is more than just his looks (although his eyes and his hands--have you seen them?), but because he's so freakin' talented! i could go on for ages, so i won't bore you, but thought i'd share my fangirl perspective. :)
if you're still having issues, let me know. i may be able to provide a backup copy, so to speak. ;-)
