Earlier this week the Scientist and I went to see Thor: The Dark World. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was much more entertaining than the first movie, and I liked the first movie. I couldn't take the big threat in the movie seriously, though, because the Aether looked like a floating blob of red wine. "Oh no, Jane's been taken over by the Aether!" "Don't worry, I've got some white wine we can blot on her and it will come right out." Heh. But really, floating wine spill isn't scary, unless you're a white couch. Anyway, I did VERY much enjoy the Captain America cameo. I'm glad I was unspoiled for that. And I loved the girl in the subway. Hell yeah, honey, I'd have faked that stumble as well. HA! My favorite line in the whole movie was when Jane and Thor were in the cave/portal, and as they're leaving you hear Thor say "Why are there so many shoes?" Ha ha ha! I don't know why, but that kept me giggling way longer than it should have.
In other news, I'm going to a pancakes and mimosa party today. Woooooo, pancakes! Who doesn't love pancakes? That's really all I have on my roster for this weekened, which is kind of a relief. It's been so busy for the past few weekends that it will be nice just to relax around the house.

I expected Thor to be lighter than the other recent Marvel offerings, but I wasn't prepared to laugh so much. The Cap America cameo made me so happy - it reminded me of Chris Evans' version of Johnny Storm. I love the Fantastic Four movies, mostly on account of his Torch, even though everyone else thinks they're horrible.

LOL - I love you.
