Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] fox1013! I hope your day is filled with all kinds of delightful badness that parents wouldn't approve of, and your friends would applaud you for. Rock on, Fox!

So [livejournal.com profile] miggy started this great little LJ group, called [livejournal.com profile] xoverchallenge, or the Crossover Challenge group. It's for icon making. Basically, every Sunday she comes up with a theme, and you have to use quotes from that theme for icons, but the icon bases can't have anything to do with the theme itself. So this week the theme is "Simpsons quotes," and I made a slew of Buffy-related icons. [livejournal.com profile] miggy combined Dubya and Ralph Wiggum to make some hee-larious icons. So if you're into making icons, or you just want to gank others' icons, consider joining up. It's fun!

And more importantly, why is Luke Perry involved?

From IMDb:

Screen beauties Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon are poised to battle for the lead role in the London stage version of When Harry Met Sally. Whoever wins the coveted role will join Luke Perry - who's signed up to play Harry - for the West End adaptation of the hit 1989 comedy starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. And the female star will have to recreate Ryan's legendary "Yes, yes, yes" scene, where she fakes an orgasm whilst dining with Crystal. Producer James Tod says, "We will definitely be keeping the simulated orgasm scene in there."

Why must they keep taking good movies and turning them into stage plays? Why must we see anyone other than Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan in those roles? Say what you want about them (Lord knows I have my fair share of Meg Ryan hate), but they owned those roles, and that's a classic movie. No one else should play them.

Um...

So I just finished watching Donnie Darko for the first time. I think I'm going to go hide under a blanket and think about it for a while. That's one twisted film. But good. I think. Wow. It's certainly going to leave an impression on me, I'll tell you that. Huh. I do covet that movie's soundtrack, though. And opening with Echo and the Bunnymen? Inspired.

Also? Frank is way creepy.
