Okay, so there must be something in the air. Everyone is on the New Job Track. bigboobedcanuck just got a new one, angelchicken is going for some interviews on Monday, and penguinrae just got word that her latest application got through the first round of processing. (Rock on, you gals!) And now I have an interview set up on Tuesday. Meep! I wasn't expecting things to happen so quickly.

So this Sean guy who works with Andy gave me a call back last night, and he's really interested in meeting me. I told him over the phone the experience I have, and I'm going to work on my resume this weekend and e-mail it to him. Then he's going to call Monday night and set up a time and place for us to meet on Tuesday late afternoon/evening to do an official interview. This is what I've found out so far: it's a consulting firm, and they have a "big client" somewhere in Chicago who is doing a bunch of web rehauling, and they need a tech writer. Sean says the project is already approved, and the money is there, they just need people now. I have no idea how much the salary will be, though. And I'm still not sure if what the job entails is what I'd want to be doing. I guess we'll see, though.

It's still kind of weird to me. I mean, I've never done contract work before. I never thought of getting into consulting. However, this could be a really good opportunity for me. And considering all the software I know, I'm not a bad person to have around. Again, we'll have to see.

In other news, I went to see Return of the King again last night. I went with Mom, Shannon, and Shannon's mom to see it on the IMAX. It was great. The movie just keeps getting better. And I got tearier this time around. Please tell me I'm not turning into queenofthorns! ;) I really can't wait to get my hands on the extended edition of that movie. Wow.

Afterwards I went and got Krispy Kremes. So I ate those for breakfast. Mmmmmm.

Also, this is the first day in forever I've slept in. Right now I'm still in my jammies. However, I'm supposed to go out shopping with Dan today, so I need to get in the shower and get ready ASAP. Plus, taraljc is having her party tonight, and I need to find out when Shannon is coming over, and then when I need to leave in order to pick up deeablo and get to the party on time... Yeah, that means I need to shower now.

Whoops.

Just got home from a day of shopping with Dan. I got a humidifier and a new garbage can. I walked in to find I had left my coffee pot on, and it had all burned (burnt?) down to sludge at the bottom of the pot. Now my apartment reeks of coffee stink. Gross. I have candles going, but it doesn't seem to be helping.

And now I must find something to wear to the party tonight. Shit. Shannon's gonna be here in, like, ten minutes, and I have to get my makeup done, too.
