So while perusing eBay to check the status of the monkey lamps, I found some other lamps that are just as creepy. For example, the horse, which is described as "warm and rustic." Or how's about the penguin lamp for penguinrae? You into aquariums? You can get a lobster, an octopus, or a seahorse, which also comes in pink. Then you start getting into the really bizarre ones, such as the buffalo and the mermaid.

::blinks:: Who buys these things???

More proof that I'm a sheep

So everyone's doing that thing when they post what was going on in their LJ one year ago. One year ago I was just doing GIPs, which don't apply any longer, anyway. So I went one day earlier.

Heads-up to those not in the Chicagoland area, where Oprah is aired at 9 a.m. instead of 4 p.m. like everywhere else in the world. My dislike for Oprah Winfrey is put aside for today, as she supposedly is having the LotR cast on. If this is your thing, you might want to try to tape it. I have no idea who from the movies will be there, but if it's a chance to hear Billeh talk, I'm all for it.

In other news, my friend Cathy was in the parking lot after work talking to Gianna, and she was really pissed off at the office. I stood around talking with her after Gianna left, and boss #2 drove past and asked why we just don't go out for a beer. So we did. I spent about four hours talking with her and downing Killian's (hey, it was the best they had). Much fun! It's nice just to hang out and get to know her better. Plus, we had a good conversation about Harold Bloom and how much Hemmingway sucks, so that's all good.
