The cast and creators of Freaks and Geeks will be doing a signing at the Sunset Blvd. Tower Records on April 13 at 7:30 p.m. I'm not sure whom they mean by "cast," but if it means James Franco, Martin Starr, and/or Seth Rogan will be there, I officially hate anyone who can make it to this. Color me the jellus h8r.

So last night I hopped on iTunes (I don't even remember why) and found all sorts of stuff that made me very happy. For years I've been meaning to get Sting's The Soul Cages on CD, but it's always about $16 at Best Buy. And on Amazon it's $14. I didn't want to pay that much for an album that no one in the world likes for me. But thanks to the wonder that is iTunes, I got the entire disc for just under $9. Wheeee! (You may complain that it's not the same, as I don't have the artwork. But do enough searching online and you can find sites that have album art scanned. And Photoshop is my friend, so now I have my own almost-good-as-real cover.) I also found the Blade Runner soundtrack for $8, but I didn't buy it. Then there's an album by a band called The SEX-O-RAMA Band (yes, really) that's all "classics from 70s porn films. All the wocka-chicka music anyone could ever want. Hee hee hee! Then, to top it off, I went looking for the soundtrack to The Thomas Crown Affair but instead wound up finding the soundtrack to Can't Stop the Music! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

So now I have "I Love You to Death" stuck in my head. If you've never heard this song, I envy you. It's the worst. Seriously, so bad. And the worst part is that I've heard this song many, many times at [livejournal.com profile] deeablo's house. She's evil, yo. Evil. As if that surprises anyone.

On the plus side, I had California rolls for lunch. Mmmmmmmm! Yummy!

Stolen from pretty much just about everyone.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

Ahem.

"Choker sling loads are commonly center-balanced loads such as pipes, bars, poles, etc."

Taken from Industrial Mechanics by Albert W. Kemp, 1st ed., 2nd printing. Don't the books at my job RAWK???

Yes, I know I've totally bombed your flist today with posts. So sue me. No one is posting over on my end, it seems, so at least I'm doing my best to entertain y'all, right? Wrong, you say? Okay, then. Feel free to defriend me. I promise I won't be offended.

Anyway, the point of this post is to tell the Robbie Williams fans out there that he has a new video out. If you've gone to Robbie's UK website and signed up on the "inner sanctum," you already know this. But if you haven't, go sign up so that you have access to this. Someone did a full-length claymation video to "Me and My Monkey." It's so awesome. Claymation Robbie is awesome. So is Claymation Kurt Cobain. And Sunshine the baboon pimp. Go sign up and watch it. I promise it's worth it.

And I would normally use a Robbie icon for this type of thing, but this is to appropriate not to use.
