Ohmygosh!

So my boss just called me into his office, and I thought I was in trouble or something. But instead he asks me if I want to go on a business trip next week. DUDE! I guess our rep from Von Hoffman* called and said he'd be going out to the plant next week, and would there be any people from the office who'd like to go? So our print purchaser went to talk to my boss, and my boss called me in to see if I'd like to go. DUDE! Business trip! All-expenses paid by Von Hoffman! DUDE! There will be people from other publishing companies there as well taking the tour and meeting people and stuff. The boss thinks this would be a great opportunity for me, and that I'd "be a great representative for ATP." Wow.

The best part? The other two people from my office who are going are Gianna and Pete. YAY! My two favorite people! This will be fun, and actually educational! I'll learn more about publishing, which is always good. And I'll have an opportunity to hand out more business cards, of which I have about six million.

But dude! Business trip! Overnight! I don't have to pay for a thing! Yay!

*Von Hoffman is the second-largest printer in the US, and more than 50% of their clients are textbook publishers. We're going to their plant in Iowa, but I guess the one in Jefferson City is so ginormous that to get from the client lounge to the presses requires a golf cart. This one isn't as big, but still! Neat!
