Slacker = me

I'm taking the day off today. Woooo! Since Yakgirl and Poo-flung are in town, I figured it was the perfect time to take a day off. Plus, there's very little on my desk at work. So there you are. I just got a really good night's sleep, and I've made some tea, and I'm going to eat croissants with blackberry jam for breakfast, and then clean the place up a bit. Mom, Dad, Yakgirl, and Poo-flung will be stopping by here at some point this morning to pick me up, and I'm sure they'll want to see the place, mess that it is. (As long as I can keep them away from the kitchen, it will be okay.) Then we're all going to meet up with my cousin Liz, whom I haven't seen in forever. So that will be fun. And tonight, it's dinner at White Fence Farm. Mmmmm. But does anyone else find their logo a bit disturbing, what with the rooster in the chef's hat urging you to eat more of his kind?

Dear Jessica Simpson,

Who told you that you have even a fraction of the talent and voice to pull off covering a Robbie Williams song? Fuck you, Jessica! Your version of "Angels" is TERRIBLE! Your voice is strained, you don't have any of the feeling you should have for the lyrics, and you suck. The only possible good thing that could come of this is that people might hear it, like it, realize it was performed by Robbie first, and look him up. If you make this song famous, I will hate you forever, because it's ROBBIE'S BIGGEST HIT EVAH. You are a big dumb ho for trying to cash in on his number-one-in-a-bajillion-countries-except-the-US single. You suck. I hope Nick is ashamed of you.

Anyone (besides bdar, who probably already has his tickets) want to go see Boomstick! sometime? Seeing as how deeablo and spasticat and I had such a great time at Evil Dead: the Musical!, I'd think this would be a perfect outing for us wackos. What say you?
