Quick update
Dec. 17th, 2005 12:07 pmI'm at the parents' house, getting ready to bake cookies. Just wrote out one recipe and e-mailed another to my sister. Yay for cookie baking all day! I know the following are on the agenda today: kolachky, cream cheese cookies (with cookie press!), sugar cookies, coconut cranberry chews, magic cookie bars, lemon bars, cherry nut squares, date balls, and McCormick grahams. This should be fun. No, really!
Went out with CAB* last night for the first time. It was actually really good. He drives a swank car, which was good later on when it was FREEZING out and we could take advantage of the heated seats. (He had my seat heated before I even got in the car when he picked me up!) We had dinner and good conversation, then walked over to the theater to see Walk the Line. But we had already missed the first 20 minutes due to his running late and getting lost, and the fact that dinner took longer than we expected. So we went to see Narnia instead. And he liked it, which is cool. I loved it, though it did add a lot of extra stuff. Much of the dialogue was lifted straight from the book, which made me happy. And Tilda Swinton rocked so hard as the White Witch. (Also, I loved her chainmail dress with the lion mane collar. Badass!) I'd really recommend the movie. CAB had never read the books, or even knew what it was about, and enjoyed it quite a bit—even said he'd see a sequel if they made one. So that's a good sign for the movie. Anyway, it was a really nice evening, and he wants to go out again sometime soon, so that's good, too. We'll see what happens.
The only bad thing right now? I woke up with a cold. Blech. Now CAB will have it, too. Mwa ha ha ha ha! Merry Christmas!
