I just got a reminder in Outlook saying I have a meeting in 10 minutes. I opened up the notice, and it's for training on my company's online databank system where we store all the document info for every project. Now, I've been working with this for what, 10 months now? I don't know every in and out, but I'm good enough at it. I already tried to cancel this once, but I was told the VP wanted me to attend, since I'm a "new" employee. The kicker: I just noticed this meeting runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. My whole day is shot! Fuck this noise. Like I don't have enough to do, now I've lost an entire workday. Fuck fuck fuck.

At the first break in training I went and talked to my boss's boss about getting out of it. He agreed that it's a waste for me to be there, so I'M FREE!!!! Hooray! I told them I'd be back at the end of the training session for the stuff I'm somewhat iffy on, but I just realized that our every-two-week department meeting is scheduled during the last hour of training, so too bad, so sad, I'll have to miss the rest of the training session. Awwwww.
I don't think I've ever been happier to be back at work.
