Quick update

So far work is going well, as people are leaving me alone. That is good.

Rainy here this morning. All the more reason to go to California this weekend.

Must do my taxes before I leave. Hopefully this will be The Year of the Refund.

Also must do all my dishes before leaving, and remember to take out all the garbage. Don't want to come home to a smelly eepartment.

Must figure out how to put a stop on my mail while I'm gone. Hmmmm.

Didn't watch Anne of Green Gables this weekend like I'd planned. Watched Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life and Underworld istead. What shite movies. But Gerard Butler and Scott Speedman are Teh Hawt, so that's okay.

Must make compulsive list of everything I have to pack and take with me to Cali. I am a compulsive list-maker before I travel. Ridiculous.

Finally, these would make great icons. Go, old-school Batman! I'm partial to qunckkk and swoosh myself.

I only have two chapters left on this book, which means I'll be done by 10 a.m. tomorrow morning. Yay! This also means I'm taking an LJ break.

So has anyone else seen those LotR ads on TBS? At first they started out rather innocuous, with talk of Gollum's hygiene being the cause of his social problems. Then there was a bit of Gandalf dancing while Laid Back's "White Horse" played in the background. But the latest one KILLED me: different shots of Sam & Frodo and the ring, while Atlantic Starr's "Secret Lovers" croons over the montage. OMG. It's an obvious joke, but the fact that the HoYay is being used for a nation-wide promotion just kills me. Awesome.
