Eeeeeeeeeee

Tomorrow is my last day of work for a week! Tomorrow night I am coming home, taking out the trash, getting the cat and my luggage, and heading off to my parents' house for the night. My cousin is in town with her boys, so tomorrow night I'll be crashing out on the sofa, which is fine by me. Then, up at the asscrack of dawn, driving over to fava_bean's parents' house to get her (she's also dropping off the pet with the parents) and then we're to O'Hare to catch a 6 a.m. flight. OMG. Saturday morning is going to suck all kinds of things, BUT when we eventually get to Palm Springs, my uncles will let us bask out in the yard with drinks so we can just soak up the sun. Lovely. And I haven't seen my Uncle Richard since the last time I went to PS, as I missed him the last time he came through Chicago. So it will be wonderful to see him again. He said he'd take me and fava on a tour of the Living Desert where he works as a docent, so that's cool. And then on Monday fava and I are borrowing my uncle's car to drive to LA, doing Universal Studios during the day, and then meeting with my college friend Nat and her husband Marc at Universal City Walk (or "shitty wok," as Nat and I have already dubbed it). I can't wait to see her again, especially since I couldn't make it to their wedding last summer. So yay! This trip is going to be great.

In other news, I uploaded some pictures from my digital camera, just so I could have an empty memory card. So if you've ever wondered what my bathroom looks like, now you know. Oh, and my cat, too. At some point when my room is clean I'll take pictures for sunbrae. But not now. It's a mess. :o
