(no subject)

Ho-lee crap. I just checked the weather outlook for Vegas for this coming weekend. Friday: 103/85, Saturday: 108/86, Sunday: 105/83, Monday: 103/82. Oy vey! At least on Sunday (the day I have earmarked for hanging at the pool) there's 0% chance for precipitation. That's good. And I e-mailed a bit with CAB yesterday, and he informed me that he was in Las Vegas two weeks ago. He went hiking in the desert, like I plan on doing, and he lost 5 pounds that day. Dude, I should live in the desert. I'd lose so much weight via sweating. Heh.

Yesterday I went to IKEA and got a new rug for my living room. It kind of looks like this one, except a) it has a lot more cream color in it, and b) it didn't cost anywhere near that. Right now I have a red rug in my living room, and while the color is great, the rug itself is quite ratty. The cat has puked on it a billion times, and the rug is getting beaten down from walking on it, and it just doesn't look the best. The new rug is much bigger, and I'll be curious to see how it turns out. However, I'm not putting it into place until after jrs1980 leaves tomorrow morning, as it would be a pain to move everything around just to move it all back out of the way to pull out the sofabed for her. Anyway, yes, new rug.

And now I'm off to the burbs to see my parents before they leave on vacation. I also have to shop for decorations for a surprise wedding shower we're having at work tomorrow. Hopefully I can find something nice...
