Today is much better than yesterday. And better than the day before that. Today, I do not feel the need to kick people in the face. That is a good thing. And it's a Friday, which is always wonderful. And I have approximately two hours until I can bolt out of here and pretend this week never happened. Wooooo!
Tonight the Scientist's friends are having a party, so we're going. And then tomorrow we've got tickets to see Tut at the Field, and then it's Movie Dictator on Saturday night. And Sunday I'm going to spend all day at my parents' house doing laundry. fava_bean. It's been too long since I've seen her.
Last night I saw my parents for the first time in a week. I went out there last Thursday and dropped my car off at the dealership for repairs. My suspension is now fixed, and the oil has been changed. Dad offered to do the brake job himself for the cost of parts only, so he just saved me over $200. Yay, Dad! Now my car doesn't feel like there's an earthquake underneath it, and there are no more squeaky penguin-like noises when I come to a stop. This is good.
I also tried to take my cat home, as she's been staying with my parents since last weekend'ssunbrae celebration. When I got there last night, the cat wouldn't even LOOK at me. OMG. You know that phrase "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned?" Yeah, well, William Congreve didn't own a cat. For real. In the end, the cat wouldn't come out of hiding, and now she's with my parents an extra two days. C'est la vie.
Oh hey, I cleared out some icons the other day and have about six or seven slots available. Anyone have suggestions for good icons?
