Feb. 11th, 2007 09:08 pmBlah blah blah... I'm taking my Christmas tree down. Finally. Yes, I mean today, February 11, I'm taking down the Christmas tree. 3/4 of the ornaments are off and boxed up already. I feel both accomplished and like a total failure.
Took a break to watch The Last Kiss. Oh, Zach Braff. Get off it. I just want to shake him and yell "Cheer up, emo boy!" Seriously, he's not supposed to be the voice of my generation, is he? I liked the movie pretty well, but it was also SUCH a downer. No relationship is safe! Everyone cheats or gets cheated on! Love sucks OMG. Yeah, it makes you really want to commit to someone, you know? I hope life isn't like that movie, but I know for some people's lives it is. I hope mine isn't like that some day.
Lionel Ritchie is on the Grammys right now. Hello? Is it me you're looking for? Why yes it is!
Valentine's Day is coming up. I'm actually really looking forward to it. This is the first time since college I've had someone for it. I just hope it keeps going so well. Yesterday the Scientist made a comment that in six months' time, he'll finally have all my friends' names down pat. I asked him if that meant he plans on being around in six months. He said yes. :D
I bought a whole bunch of new clothes this weekend. I shouldn't have, but I did. Mom and I went shopping and saw the Lane Giant (™
xica_s) at the mall was closing and had a 30% off everything sale. Now I have lots of new blouses. I look pretty. But it's money I shouldn't have spent. Oh well.
My dad needed help with his computer this weekend. He had downloaded about three years' worth of pictures and movies of my nephews to his machine until it wouldn't work any more. We couldn't burn the stuff onto discs because there wasn't enough room on the hard drive for the burning software. So I spent two and a half hours yesterday zipping files and putting them in temporary storage via YouSendIt. Today Dad called to say that he was going to do the same with the photos, but somehow found that the photos were stored in "a couple of places" on the hard drive, so he deleted the duplicates. In the end, he deleted ALL of them. ::headdesk:: So now I have to hope that I have enough of the photos saved online so that I can download them and burn them for him. Dad is beyond computer inept, God bless him.
Christina Aguilera still owns. Except for that screechy noise near the end. :\
Two weeks from today I'll be in Disney, watching the nightly fireworks. That thought makes me happy.
I shouldn't have watched that movie. Now I'm all emo. Wah.
Or maybe I'm just really tired. My friend Colleen had a party last night and I was there till after 2 a.m. I was also tipsy to the point of being drunk. Ack. But there were good laughs. I didn't get to sleep until after 3, though, so maybe I should call it quits on dismantling the tree and just head off to bed.
