Apr. 11th, 2007 12:41 pmFirst and foremost, do all of you have
fishdoctorpost friended? You should. Read her latest post about some band called Mastadon and tell me she didn't just crack your shit up.
In other news, it is snowing here in Chicago. April 11, and it's snowing. This once again validates my theory that if ever the Apocalypse is upon us, and fire rains down from the heavens before we all freeze to death, Chicago will be the last city left standing. Because Chicagoans are ready for this kind of weather craziness. BRING IT ON, we say. IT BUILDS CHARACTER. CHICAGO WEATHER MAKES US STRONGER. And lo, when the end of times is upon us, the world will look to Chicagoans as examples of how to survive the extremes. YOU WILL ENVY OUR TOUGH SKINS, AND PLETHORA OF SCARVES AND UMBRELLAS. Oh yes. It will happen. ...Just not in my lifetime, I hope.
What else? I got in last night around 10, my cat immediately went into hiding when she saw me, so my parents drove me back to my place sans pet. Or car, for that matter. (There would be nowhere to park, and with the snow today I'm not about to let the OP ticket my ass some more.) I am rather tired today. Thankfully, all is quiet on the work front. That is good.
