Spoiler free post!
I liked this movie MUCH more than Dead Man's Chest. Then again, DMC and At World's End are kind of a twofer. You can't have the third movie without the second, which explains why the second one dragged. Lots and lots of exposition there. There's lots of exposition here, but there's more than enough action to keep it going.
That said, this movie isn't without its faults and slow parts. And trust me, they're there. There were definitely moments of "get on with it!" or "Are you freaking kidding me?" But there's enough to enjoy to take you past those bits. Oh, and it's loooooong. The movie started promptly at 8:00, and after previews and sitting through credits, it took nearly 3 hours. Oh, and there IS a coda after the credits, so stick around. It ties one storyline up nicely.
As for all those people saying this movie is convoluted with the plethora of double-crossing going on, it's not that bad. Just pay attention. All the critics I've read who are like "You can't follow it," I have to wonder if they were just too busy taking notes to listen. Because I didn't have a problem following it at all, and neither did the Scientist. Then again, we're smarty pantses. ;P
And I was going to do a bunch of spoilers and stuff, but I won't. Because if anyone comments here, there's a chance that just scrolling past my post to get to the comments will result in spoiling. So I'll do a spoilery post tomorrow with more.
In conclusion, it's worth the money. Go see it. Yes.
