Nov. 5th, 2007 11:41 amThis weekend the Scientist and I hosted Movie Dictator at our place. Our theme was "It came from the 80s!" and we showed Flash Gordon and Clash of the Titans. There was a ton of food, a dozen or so people, and a good time had by all. At least, I hope it was a good time for everyone. Either way, having people over every weekend is keeping us on our toes when it comes to cleaning.
Yesterday I did a whole lot of nothing. Bought some tights and new sweaters for the encroaching cold weather, put up weatherstripping for the same reason, and then just kind of lounged around. I called![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
deeablo to inform her that the Spice Girls are having two concerts here in Chicago this February, and she needs to sign up for the lottery to get tickets as well. Yay! Oh, also, deeablo baked pumpkin bars, and they're really good. (The secret ingredient is evil.)
fava_bean, I'm so sorry I didn't call you back yesterday. I was totally wiped out. I suck. :( Want to hang out this weekend?
I'm finally starting to fall into things at the new house. Seeing as how I drove around a little bit yesterday and did some shopping on my own, it's starting to feel real that I live there now. And I really do enjoy living with the Scientist. It's nice to just hang out together. Yesterday morning we woke up early-ish, went out to breakfast, and then took a walk around the neighborhood. He showed me the rec center and the community center, and it's all very nice. And there are a ton of trails out by us to wander along, so that's cool.
