Today's holiday video is something I've only heard of, but have never seen. Even now in this abbreviated format, I feel like I am simultaneously cheated out of and saved from this glorious disaster. You may already know what it is. If you don't, you're in for it.

Last night the Scientist and I stayed up till at least midnight making sugar cookies, doing laundry, and watching Iron Chef America. Then I had a really weird dream that I was in a Die Hard movie, hanging out with John McClane. We ended up waking up late this morning; however, we did not miss the train, so points for us.

We didn't see The Golden Compass last night, as his dad didn't feel like going after all. It's probably for the best, as we would have had to see it at the expensive theater rather than one in the Scientist's movie theater chain (aka free movies). So that saved us some cash.

Today I got to work to find that one of my three lucky bamboo has turned yellow. I fear it is dying. I've had this bamboo for 2½ years, and I really don't want it to die. I gave it some water and put it near the windo, so maybe a view will make it happy. Here's hoping.
