Long weekend in brief.
Dec. 22nd, 2008 11:03 amFriday night. Don't really remember. Packed, got cookies together for family party. Maybe something else? Baked more, perhaps?
Saturday morning. Up early. Showered, dressed, loaded car, pit stop @ Dunkin Donuts for coffee. Met family in Meijer parking lot for caravan to Michigan. In Grand Rapids for family Christmas. Lots of people, lots of food. Back in car, surprise trip to see other side of husband's family for Christmas. Again, lots of people, lots of food. Back in car, over to parents' house for dinner and sleeping.
Sunday morning. Woken by Mom, told of major storm. Snow everywhere, blowing winds like crazy. Call from husband's family, family reunion cancelled due to snow. Showered, dressed, fed, packed car, dug car out of driveway. Started ride home early. Major white-outs on highway, very stressful. Met up with family somewhere in Indiana, had lunch. Group split up, one half to outdoor outlet mall, one half home. Hitched ride with sister-in-law, back home A-OK. Husband and brother-in-law met us later, finally get home. Frozen solid. Shower (again) to warm up, get fancied up for Xmas party @ friends' house. Good friends, laughs, lots of cuddling with new puppy (looks like Bolt). Back home, in bed, sleep.
Today. Woke up with sniffles. Now full-blown runny nose. Lovely. Trying to clean up book template. Is messy. Baked potato for lunch today. Yay. One more day of work after today. Double yay.
