Oh, Blago.

This morning on the news, the entertainment reporter was discussing I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, which premiered last night. It seems that good old Patti Blagojevich is filling in for G-Rod, who's not allowed to leave the country for the show's filming due to all his legal troubles. Anyway, the news showed a clip that just made me laugh and laugh. Patti was talking about her husband's legal troubles, and stupid Spencer Pratt commented "Just so you know, when I met him, I was like, this is who I would have voted for the president of the United States of America." That is a direct quote, folks. Spencer Pratt has endorsed Blago for President! I think that speaks volumes about them both.

In other news, I went to a sneak preview of The Proposal last night. It's a relatively formulaic comedy. Mean woman blackmails good guy into marriage, she meets his family and has fish-out-of-water experience, both realize they love each other, but will the INS keep them apart before they can realize they're Meant To Be? Yeah, not all that original. That said, once this movie got going it was funny. I think a lot of that simply has to do with watching Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds sling zingers at one another. And Sandra gets naked like I never thought would happen in a movie. VERY funny. And there's a scene with a dog that has me laughing just thinking about it. Plus, there's Betty White. You can't go wrong with Betty White. So yes, despite the relatively thin premise and the cookie-cutter ending, the laughs are well worth it. This movie was surprisingly funny.
