(no subject)

Crap. I just realized that this Thursday is my grandma's 101st birthday, and I haven't even put a card in the mail for her. I suck. Not that she'd even know, seeing as how her dementia/Alzheimer's is so bad that she doesn't even recognize family, but still. I should at least send her a card...

Thursday is also the four-year anniversary of when the Scientist and I first met. A while ago I was thinking we'd use the Signature Room gift card that deeablo gave us as a wedding gift, and we'd go out for a nice dinner. Instead, I have a doctor's appointment that afternoon and we wouldn't be able to make it down there in time. Plus, we haven't made reservations. But maybe we can still do dinner somewhere or something afterwards. I dunno.

In other news, I had a TERRIBLE night's sleep last night. I woke up at one-something, and then on and off for the rest of the night. I woke up absolutely exhausted. There have been three cups of coffee drunk, and it's not really helping. I just want to go home and chill with the Scientist. Instead, I'm pushing through work today, just hoping it will be over soon.

I'm just sleepy today, and kind of down. But on the bright side, it's nice and cool here in Chicagoland like it's autumn already. And that's a nice reminder that autumn isn't too far off. And you know what that means: pumpkin spice latte season! Heh.

This evening the Scientist and I went to Target to get a birthday card for my grandma. While there, I remembered that there's a little Starbucks located up front by the manager's office. Yes, my friends, you know what time it is...
