It's a morning
Dec. 22nd, 2009 09:26 amI have two alarms on my clock radio. One goes off at 6:45, and the second goes off at 7:04. I usually hit snooze on the second alarm until around 7:14, at which point I roll out of bed and get ready for the day. This morning the 6:45 alarm went off, and that was it. No backup alarm. The Scientist woke me up at 7:45, which is 20 minutes before I'm supposed to leave. Craaaaaaaaaaaaap. So I skipped the shower, put on lots of perfume and deoderant, threw on some clothes, and that's that. My hair is flat and greasy, I had to put on makeup at work, and I probably smell odd. On the bright side, I got to work on time, so there you are.
But work today is weird, because I've been yanked off my project to work on a book about creating video games. I was ONE FIGURE away from completing the art for the sheet metal book, but now I'm doing the Gaming workbook, which means I'll be spending all day just setting up a template and trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Good times.
Is this week over yet?
