Crazy weird homophobe guy with the scanner obsession at my office has now brought in pictures of his pet birds. Now, it's one thing to bring in photos of your pets if someone has expressed interest in seeing them. But I know for a fact that my friend Erin would never, ever say this. And yet here she is, nodding politely while he shows her his photos. (I, meanwhile, watch from a safe distance.) The best part? He's even brought in a bag of feathers. A bag. of. FEATHERS!

The man is crazy. Seriously, crazy.

I think if he brings the feathers over to show me, I'm just going to flat-out tell him that I don't like birds. Because I don't. They're pretty and all, but I don't like to see birds caged. It bothers me. Also, I don't want them touching me, because sometimes they're really dirty. Also, their claw-feet creep me out, as do their tiny beaks. (Can you tell I saw The Birds one too many times as a child?) So yeah, I think I'll tell him that and see if he's horrified by it all. Heh.

Awww, he sounds lonely. Maybe he's just really proud of his birds and their beautiful feathers. I mean, also crazy, but he seems crazy in a harmless way. I feel kind of sorry for him.

My dad, who is loveable but crazy decided once to make a pillow out of the fur of our Husky dog. The project lasted until my mother "accidentially" threw out the bag he was storing the fur in. He lost his spirit for the pursuit after that...
