A little help?

Okay, so Valentine's Day is coming up (sorry to remind y'all), and once again I'll be making a "Valentine's Day Sucks" compilation CD. Because really, Valentine's Day sucks. Anyway, this year I've exhausted my supply of CDs and mp3s. So I need your suggestions. I've already hit the basics, like "Love Stinks," but I'm open to anything. So far all I have this year are Ben Folds Five's "Song for the Dumped" and Garbage's "Special." Anything in your music library just scream out "I hate this contrived holiday and I hate happy people in love and I want to wear black and wallow in my singledom?" Because I need those songs. ;)

Well, it doesn't necessarily scream "contrived holiday", REM's The One I Love is actually a dismissal song, instead of a love song. A lot of people confuse that, though I'm sure you didn't. ;) Still, makes for a nice 'screw this love stuff. Let's just get what we want and go on with our lives." I'll look and see what else I have.

Joe Jackson's got a few great songs in this vain - you probably know "Is She Really Going Out With Him?" but "Happy Loving Couples" is even more of what you're talking about. Lyrics are here.

Well let's see, you could always put Britney's "Stronger" and Justin's "Cry me a River" on there one after the other just for the fun of it. And there, of course, is the classic "All by Myself" -- seems perfect for this kind of thing. Oh, of course, there's "Untouchable Face" by Ani DiFranco.

You know I was doing a quick brain scan for "best Ani song for this kind of mix" and I did not think of Done Wrong, but dude, that is the _best_ I hate V Day song ever. Excellent choice!
