eee1313Proof that the CEO is a nice guy:
So about ½ hour ago it started to POUR. The sky turned black, the clouds opened, and there was a torrential downpour. It was so loud on the roof that you couldn't hear unless you shouted. Well, the CEO saw out the window that three boys were walking down the street outside, soaked to the bone, and he flagged them into our office. He got towels for them all, brought them into the break room for hot chocolate, and had them use the phone to call their parents for a change of clothes. That's seriously so nice of him. The poor kids looks miserable. When they walked past, you could hear their wet socks squishing inside their sneakers.
In other news, the roof is now leaking in about six places. One computer has been covered with a tarp, and we're now using the plants from the atrium to catch water leaks instead of putting buckets underneath. (Hey, might as well put that water to use and feed the plants at the same time, right?) Unfortunately the power didn't go off, because then I might be able to go home. But now the sun is shining. I guess I'll be putting in a full day after all.
