May. 13th, 2004 01:09 pmI heard about this on the radio this morning, and I thought I might pass this on. Maybe it's the Pollyanna in me, but this makes me happy, and gives me a bit of hope about things over in Iraq. Operation Iraqi Children is an organization that collects school supplies for American troops to give to Iraqi kids. No religous material, no propaganda, just school supplies for kids whose schools don't have the supplies they need to get through assignments the way kids can over here. As one of its spokespeople says, "The future of Iraq lies in the education of its children." Damn skippy. So I don't know if any of you would be interested, but you never know.
