Goodbye, money

I shouldn't have spent the money, but the sale was too good to resist. Jeans for $20 instead of the usual $40! A sweater for $8 instead of the usual $36! Bras for buy two, get two free! Panties for buy three, get three free! How can one resist, especially when considering that the favorite hot pink bra (that has been repaired twice now) has finally died and needs a replacement since there are three pairs of matching undies? AND that with all of my underwear, I have absolutely nothing in black. That had to be remedied. So now I'm $150 poorer, but I would have been $400 poorer without the savings, so I think I did pretty well for myself. And I wear the same pair of jeans day in and day out, since it's the only pair that fits me just right. I needed more jeans.
Unfortunately, I only have $4 for lunch. Whoops. I think that's enough to get a burger, fries, and a Coke from the restaurant downstairs. Oh, wait, my secret stash of loose change in the desk drawer has just added another $1.85 to the pot. That's definitely enough for lunch.
And I've actually been productive at work. I got one book off to the proofer, a TestAlert released, and have now begun with the new edition updates, which made Michael happy. So all is well.
The only thing I'm worried about now is that I still have to order my new registration sticker for my car. I would have done it long ago, but now I have to include insurance info when I order, and I keep forgetting to get that while I'm home so that I can order online. So now the sticker is going to arrive after Jan. 1, which is when the cops can start ticketing my car for not having the proper sticker. I'm going to have to stash my car at my parents' house again, because if I leave it on the street the OP parking gestapo will surely fine me. And even though I can print out the receipt saying I ordered the registration sticker and not to ticket me, that's only helpful if I'm in the car to show it to the cop when said ticket is issued. Bah. I know it's my own fault for not acting sooner, but if they hadn't changed the policy and needed this new info, I wouldn't be so far behind. I suck.
