This one's going out to everyone I know in real life. Anyone who might want to hang out with me, anyone who might call me on the phone... This is for you.
I just landed a BIG freelance illustration project. A BIG project. Approximately 80 illustrations. Some of these are very simple and will only take me a half hour. Some might take me five or six hours to complete. The publishers want all of the files done by May 31. This makes for a very tight deadline on my end. I honestly don't know if it's possible for me to get this all done, but damn if I'm not going to try. Because they're offering me basically two months' salary for this one month of extra work. Two months of what I make at my day job to get these files to them in a month flat.
Holy crap.
So needless to say, I am going on lockdown as of tomorrow. (It would start tonight, but I have to tear the book apart and scan the pages for reference, which will be my task at lunch tomorrow. I'm so glad I have a scanner at my desk!) I will not be making phone calls, I will not be going out, I will not be doing ANYTHING other than these illustrations. If we already have plans, I'll still be there. But I won't be making any new plans. So yeah, I'll post here like normal, but that's probably about the only communication you'll see from me for a while.
