Dec. 8th, 2008 10:34 amThis weekend was okay. Friday night the Scientist had off from the theater, so we made it Date Night. We had a two-for-one coupon at Sweet Tomatoes, so we went there for dinner. It was, as always, good. After that we went to see Bolt, which was much better than I expected it to be. Plus, the "evil" cat Mittens totally reminded me of my former cat Ralph, who was quite possibly evil. For real. So I enjoyed the film, despite the fact that both Miley Cyrus and John Travolta were involved.
Saturday the Scientist worked, and I stayed home to work on Christmas cards. It's amazing how long it takes just to address envelopes and write quick little notes in the cards. That night I grabbed some food, took some of it over to the Scientist at work, and got on the highway to go downtown. My friend/former coworker Rebecca was having her annual Christmas potluck, and it was good. Good food, good drinks, better company. And on the bright side, it didn't turn into a crazy snowfall like the weathercasters were predicting, so I made it home without trouble.
Yesterday the Scientist went out with his dad in the morning, so I used that time to wrap his Christmas presents and a bunch of other presents as well. Then I went to Target, which was PACKED with people. Remind me not to go shopping on the weekends during the holiday. Then last night we went to his parents' house for dinner and sat around watching The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice on TNT. Have I ever mentioned how much I love the Librarian movies? Because I do. This one had vampires, so it just may be my favorite Librarian movie yet. Alas, it will also be the last. :(
Today I am at work, and I don't want to be. I want to be home sleeping. And tonight I have a doctor's appointment with my bad-beside-manner doctor, which means I'll be missing the Charlie Brown Christmas on TV tonight. Sadness. But that's how it goes.
