May. 29th, 2009 01:12 pmMy head is spinny today. I think it's because normally I have the blinds open next to my desk, and I can turn my head and look outside. But this morning it was too bright, so I closed said blinds and I think that caused tunnel vision because the only thing I've looked at is my monitor, and in turn the tunnel vision has caused the spinny-head syndrome. Oh well.
Today is the start of the Wilton Tent Sale. Several of my coworkers were going to drive up there after work and try to buy stuff, and I was like "I'm going to it on my way home, so I'll try to buy you your stuff before it sells out." (I pass the tent sale on the way home from work, as it's right down the street from me.) One of my coworkers runs a catering business on the side, and she needs lots of melting chocolate for her desserts. But every time she's gone there a few days after the sale starts, it's always sold out. Hopefully I can snag her some before it's all gone. In the meantime, I'm going to cry if I can't get my duckie cake pan and make myself a devil duck cake.
In other news, there's that thing going around where people list their favorite couples/'ships from TV. I'm having a hard time thinking of ten good ones for me. Instead, I'm mixing it up a bit. ( The lists. )
ETA: I forgot to mention this, but last night we went to see Night at the Museum 2: Battle for the Smithsonian. The movie isn't superb, but it's fun. I enjoyed this movie more than the first. I mean, the premise of this franchise is good to begin with, but this one was better because it featured THE SMITHSONIAN. My parents took
yakgirl and I to it as small children, and I have great memories of the Air & Space Museum and riding a carousel on the Mall. The absolute best part of the film (for me) was the Jeff Koons balloon dog running around like a giant aluminum puppy. This made me so gleeful, I actually clapped.
