Nov. 25th, 2009 09:38 amMy brother-in-law G pointed me to this website, and I thought I'd pass it on here. (And yes, I checked Snopes, and yes, this is totally legit.) Xerox is running a website called Let's Say Thanks. This website has postcards that were designed by kids, and you can choose one to send to the troops overseas. Every month, Xerox prints all of the cards that were selected, adds your message and name on the back, and sends them off to the military men and women who are currently deployed. Whether or not I agree with the military choices that have been made over the last decade, I firmly believe that it's important to let the troops know that their service is appreciated. This goes double during the holidays when they're away from their families and friends. This is a quick and free way to do exactly that, so if you feel inclined, please consider dropping by the site and sending a postcard.
