Weird dreams and bad movies
Jan. 27th, 2010 12:08 pmIt is snowing again here in Chicagoland. Not real snow that piles up and makes things pretty and/or treacherous, just snow fluttering around in the air. Too bad it's so damn cold. Oh well. Chicago winters build character! I'll just keep reminding myself that when there's a negative windchill.
Last night the Scientist and I watched the latest Family Guy version of Star Wars. This one parodies The Empire Strikes Back, and it made me LOL several times. Not worth buying, but when Adult Swim eventually airs it, I'd recommend it. ( Cut for joke spoiler. )
I COULD NOT sleep last night. I fell asleep early, then woke up around midnight and both the Scientist and I watched Food Network till 1:30. I eventually fell back asleep, but he did not. He was literally up all night. Hopefully he's getting a solid nap in right now. But I digress: I had crazy-ass dreams last night. ( Cut in case Steve@theMovies is reading this, because he hates hearing about other people's dreams. )
In other news, I cannot wait for this week to be over. I'm taking Friday off work so that I can sleep in late, as B-Fest begins Friday evening. Wooooooo! I'm actually excited about (most of) the lineup this year. Some of the movies I've never seen but always meant to (like Buckaroo Bonzai and Gymkata), and then others I've seen before and am excited to share the pain with a crowd. Strangely enough, the two movies recently shown at Movie Dictator are on the roster. I predict lots of unhappy screaming during the former, and lots of laughter during the latter.
Anyway, that's all I've got.
