So, let's see...

Last night there were big storms in the Chicagoland area, so we had to shut up all the windows in our house. And then the temperature started to rise. We turned on the A/C, but when we woke up this morning it was 81° inside. Boooooooo. We think the A/C is dead. Of course, it's supposed to be something like 88° tomorrow. Suck. Anyway, we may have to get a new A/C unit for our house. Seeing as how the current one is original to the 30-some-year-old house, it wouldn't surprise me if it actually is dead. And our furnace is original, too, and that should probably get replaced. Every year it goes out at least once, and last year our repair guy said we might be able to eek another year out of it... Replacing one or the other doesn't sound fun OR cheap, so we'll have to see what happens. Stupid homeownership, full of expenses we don't want or need!

So, Warehouse 13 ended its season last night. ( Spoilers. )

Tomorrow is my oldest nephew's birthday. yakgirl bought a pair of Star Wars walkie-talkies that will be given to him in our name. I think that's a fitting gift, seeing as how the Scientist and I are both Star Wars nerds. I mean, not to the point where we got married dressed as Admiral Ackbar and Mon Mothma, but still nerdier than your average Star Wars fans. Anyway, hooray for Star Wars birthday presents!

(Speaking of Ackbar, why wouldn't you want him for your college mascot? I would!)
