For any writers or playwrights in the Chicagoland area, I'd like to point you in the way of the Midwest Literary Festival. Authors abound, and there are plenty of workshops. I'm definitely thinking of going.

In other news, my boss has instituted mandatory unpaid overtime for the next month and a half. Because the production schedule is too hectic. The production schedule that he created. Just when I thought I could sit this place out a while longer...

An update on the rest of my weekend will come later. Because right now I'm just too tired.

Don't you want to go tell your boss where to shove it? I'll have to look into the new federal overtime laws; maybe he's violating something... we can hope.

Okay, I have no idea what this article means, other than you might be getting legally screwed. It does mention an expert from Chicago-- perhaps the Trib has more information on what is and isn't legal.

I don't think any of those laws apply to us. Because we're less than a certain number of employees, the management can pretty much make us do whatever, and legalities won't come into play. We don't have the protection offered to us by the Feds because we're below the certain number of workers required for the laws to apply.

I called Nystrom, and they'll be doing first round interviews for another two weeks. So I've got two more weeks of this shit. Thank God I'm going on vacation with deeablo and bigboobedcanuck for a bit of it. >:(

I can't take away from the sucktasticness of your work situation any, but I think I may have figured out the problem you've been having with setting up a new mood theme: the all caps. I caught this entry when you were trying to use your new mood theme a few minutes ago, and the mood wasn't loading, so I tried to view the mood picture directly off your photobucket account. It was linking to this, which got a 404 not found:

But when I changed it to lowercase? Kaylee!

So, I think you need to put all your data into the admin console again, minus the all-caps. Because if it wasn't for that, it should have worked.

(I'm troubleshooting these things unasked because my home life lately consists of troubleshooting imaginary problems. I'm happy to find an actual problem, and one I think I can solve.)
