SciFi will be showing the entire series of Firefly on Friday nights starting July 22. (7 p.m. EST, 6 p.m. CST.) So any of you who never saw the show will now have a chance to watch it -- all -- free of charge. The fact that Firefly and BSG will be on the same night is just making my little fangirl geek heart go all squishy. If only there weren't two hours of Stargate and Atlantis wedged in between. (Apologies to any of you who like those shows. I just can't get into them.) Simon and Helo, back-to-back? I'd die. And no, not like that. o_O Pervs.

And fava_bean is supposed to come over later today to marathon episodes 9-13 of BSG. It should be geeky fun.

Ummm. You don't need to apologise for not watching Stargate and Atlantis. Definitely only for super geeky sci-fi fans. Fans like me, actually. Next thing you know I'll be watching reruns of Andromeda. But not before I watch all the Highlander shows on DVD. And then I'll have to try to catch Hercules on DVD. Then maybe Xena. Then *maybe* I would have time for Andromeda.

So pretty clearly this is sci-fi laying the groundwork to resurrect Firefly as a series? Good Firefly ratings + good Serenity buzz/BO + Stargate declining after RD Anderson's departure = Family Guy redux, only not sucky, annoying, and inexplicably popular. Yeah? --Greg
