Noooooo!

I just got out my compact to apply some lipstick, and what did I notice in the mirror? That I'm going silver. Not just gray, SILVER. There are a ton of silver hairs popping up all over my head. When did that happen? I know I've always had a few grays, ever since I was about fourteen, but now they're all over! My temples seem to be sprouting silver hairs, and my bangs are full of them. I mean, I know I always said that if I were to go completely gray, I'd want to go silver like my dad's hair. (What's left of it, that is.) I didn't expect it would start so soon, though! I just hit my late twenties, for Pete's sake! And it's not like I can hide this easily. My hair is so dark that anything less than medium brown stands out like mad. I mean, I'd rather have silver than gray, but not yet!

I'm going to have to dye my hair. Poop.

Welcome to the club! I started spontaneously sprouting silver hair in my late 20s as well... now in my mid-30s, and it's still slowly trying to take over. I'm just really glad I didn't start going gray when I was 19, like my mom did.
