Ho-hum and TV

Last night was actually somewhat productive around my house last night. I got home, did half of my dishes, and actually made dinner rather than microwaving a frozen dinner. Go, me! Then I watched Arrested Development, because I actually remembered it was on. Why is that show being cancelled? It's so awesome. And now that I know when to find it, it's even MORE annoying that it's being cancelled. That show is brilliant. After that I ate dinner and watched How I Met Your Mother, which continues to amuse me if only because NPH is great as Barney. Love him. But y'all knew that.
From there I flipped over to the WB in time to see the last two minutes of 7th Heaven. Ruthie was gyrating inappropriately, and her parents looked shocked. Why, I ask you, when only two years ago she was gyrating inappropriately while singing Tom Petty on video to send to US troops stationed in Iraq? Come on, Camdens! You let your child act like a whore for our troops, why not for her boyfriend at a dance? Of course, I had to call
deeablo, who also had stumbled across the horror at the same moment. We both were horrified by it all, and by the fact that the CamTwins still haven't mastered speech at the age of, what, TEN? Honestly, those kids should be in special care. They obviously have something wrong with their mental capabilities.
After this I watched Related, which continues to be my new favorite show. Love! I don't know why I adore it so much, but I do. It's such a guilty pleasure show, except I don't feel guilty watching it. Halfway through the show a commercial for the Smallville "Lex-mas" episode came on. (Warning: spoilers in the link.) Ho-lee crap. I was completely unspoiled for this, so that commercial made me HOWL with laughter. Why didn't they just call it "It's a Wonderful Lex?" He gets shot, and suddenly he's in a world where he has a mommy, everyone loves him, he's married to Lana, and they have a kid? Bwa ha ha ha! Oh, I can't wait to see that train wreck unfold. AWESOME.
After that I crawled into bed and finished reading The Silver Chair. I had decided that I'd try to read all of The Chronicles of Narnia before the movie comes out this Friday. I only have The Last Battle to go, so if I actually read on the train the rest of the week instead of listening to music and looking out the window, I should reach this goal. Is anyone else totally excited about this movie, besides me and
elrond50? Possibly
spicedrum as well, seeing as how she made icons. But dude, I cannot wait for it. Every time I see the trailer and there's the bit with Aslan and the White Witch at the Stone Table, I get chills. I cannot wait. I'm so seeing that movie this weekend, no matter what.
Anyway, that's it for me. I have the afternoon off for a doctor's appointment, and then shopping. Or cleaning. Something. I could get a Chipotle burrito for lunch on the way home, but Cosi has their holiday "ham & yam" sandwich. Yams on a sandwich? Sign me up! Yeah, I might get that and sit around and eat lunch and read there. That could be nice.
